As the wedding industry grows and evolves, so do the expectations and etiquette that come along with it. There are more couples planning unique celebrations, more vendors offering specialized services, and—yes—more questions about tipping.

The timeline of events immediately before ceremony and after are so crucial (and telling) for how the day of your wedding will go! It's important to avoid makeup and hair running late because that will then put you behind on photos, which could create a longer stretch of time spent finishing portraits during cocktail hour, ultimately delaying dinner (and dancing!).

One of the most common questions a couple will be asked when they start wedding planning, begin creating a wedding day timeline, or book a photographer will be: "Are you doing a first look?" If you're unfamiliar, a first look allows the couple to see each other for the first time before the ceremony. First looks are typically right after the couple has finished getting ready, and will see each other before the ceremony.
